Avelle Massage

What to Expect

Caring Attention. Excellent Massage.  Relaxing Environment.
Respect. Modesty. Cleanliness. Sincerity. Information.

Your First Session:
I will greet you in the waiting area and invite you into my therapy studio.  There you will be offered purified water and  given a brief history form to fill out.  We will take a moment to get comfortable with each other, discuss your needs, concerns and gather any information pertinent to any condition you have.  I may perform a few assessments as necessary and offer supportive at home exercises.  When all questions are answered, I will walk you through the set up process.  I leave the room to wash up while you undress to your level of comfort and lie down in between the clean sheets, face up or down as directed.  Breathe and begin relaxing.  I always knock before reentering the space.  We will then begin the session as agreed.

Etiquette:
Please come as freshly bathed as possible, free of perfumes or any scented products, as many of my clients have allergies and chemical sensitivities.  Turn off phone ringers before the session.  We reserve your appointment time just for you. Not only is each appointment a significant percentage of our daily wage, but we also spend time, energy and preparation before and after each client appointment.  Therefore we request that you call as far ahead as possible to change or cancel appointments.  24 hour notice is required to avoid late cancel fee.

Mutual Respect:
I treat each person with kindness and respect.  I will only work on areas of your body that you feel comfortable with.  I am happy to alter my techniques or approach to suit your comfort levels.  My professional draping methods
ensure comfort and modesty.  I expect common courtesy as well.  Please refrain from making any sexual comments or requests.  These services are therapeutic and relaxing in nature.

Payment:
I accept cash or check at the time of service.  You can use a credit card before your appointment through PayPal. Order Now

This is Your Massage/Spa Service:
I strongly encourage feedback and requests from each of my clients in relation to their comfort: pressure, room temperature, body positioning, draping/modesty comforts, tenderness or pain experienced and techniques used.  Feel free to speak up.  This is your massage!

After the Session:
You should drink plenty of hydrating fluids.  Water is the best.  Your body will be flushing out toxins that were released from you muscles during the session.  You will feel much better if you help them on the way out by drinking water.

If you had any deep work or injury care, your body will be in a healing process after the session.  It is normal for a small percentage of individuals to experience some discomfort akin to post-work-out soreness. This is a part of the natural healing process, should last no more than two days at the most and is nothing to worry about.  Drinking fluids will aid in the healing process.  Icing the sore area (15 min. on 45 min off) (or even once will help!) will bring down the (normal) inflammation to reduce your discomfort during this process.  If you have any concerns or questions please feel free to call me.

Enjoy!
